Rocketman: the crash game of African and Balkan bookmakers
If you bet in Nairobi, Lagos, Belgrade or Maputo, you have seen Rocketman before you saw Aviator. Elbet, a Serbian studio, built it in 2021 and sold it through the bookmakers it already supplied. It plays like Aviator with a jackpot bolted on, and that jackpot is the reason to know what you are looking at.
Elbet is a Belgrade company that has been supplying virtual sports and lottery-style games to bookmakers in the Balkans and Africa since 2012. When Aviator took off, Elbet built Rocketman and offered it to the operators it already served, which is why in Kenya, Serbia, Nigeria, Mozambique and Bosnia the rocket arrived before the plane did. We have played it at Mozzart Bet in Nairobi and at a Serbian bookmaker whose name we will not try to spell, and it is a competent, slightly over-animated Aviator with two extras: a progressive jackpot and free bets that drop in the chat.
What is Rocketman?
Rocketman is a multiplayer crash game released in May 2021. Each round a cartoon rocket lifts off past a planet, a multiplier climbs from 1.00x, and at a random moment the rocket explodes. Cash out before it and you win the stake times the multiplier on screen. Miss it and the stake is gone. Everyone in the lobby watches the same round, and a live bets feed shows who has cashed out and at what.
You get two bet panels, auto cash-out, auto bet with stop limits, a history strip and a chat window. On top of that sit the things Elbet added to compete: a jackpot ticker across the top of the game, free bets that the operator drops into chat, and tournaments where the leaderboard is sorted by biggest multiplier. If you have played Aviator, you know the base game. The extras are what this page is about.
2.2x and the jackpot ticker reading in the tens of thousands of shillings.
How to play Rocketman
- Set a stake in one or both panels. Minimum 0.10, or 10 shillings at Kenyan bookmakers and 10 dinars in Serbia. Maximum per panel is usually 100 or the local equivalent.
- Place the bet during the countdown. A short window runs between rounds. Late bets queue for the next one.
- Watch the rocket climb. The multiplier is central and large; the jackpot ticker is above it and unrelated to the round.
- Cash out. Press the button, or let auto cash-out fire at your target. Winnings are credited instantly.
- Or watch it explode. If the rocket goes first, the stake is lost. The next round follows in a few seconds.
The jackpot, free bets and tournaments
Progressive jackpot. A small contribution from every bet at the operator goes into a pool, and the pool is awarded at random to a player with a live bet in a round. You cannot do anything to trigger it beyond having a bet down. Elbet runs it as a separate lottery sitting on top of the crash game, which is honest: the jackpot does not depend on where the rocket crashes or when you cash out. The pool is operator-wide rather than global, so it builds quickly at Mozzart Bet on a Saturday and slowly at a quiet site.
The contribution that funds it comes out of the RTP, which is the main reason Rocketman sits at 96% rather than 97%. You are buying lottery tickets with each bet whether you want them or not.
Free bets in chat. Operators drop promo credits into the chat at intervals, and the first players to claim them get a free stake on the next round. Once you have used your free bets, more can appear. It is marketing budget, the same as Aviator's rain promo, and a free bet is still a free bet.
Tournaments. Operator-run leaderboards, usually by highest multiplier cashed in a period. Prize pools are set by the bookmaker. They reward volume and luck in roughly equal measure.
Rocketman RTP and odds
Elbet publishes Rocketman at 96%, and that is what the information panel shows at the operators we use. Some review sites quote 96.5% or 97%; if your site shows a higher number in the panel, good. At 96% the house edge is 4%, and the chance of the rocket reaching any multiplier m is roughly 96% divided by m. About 64% of rounds reach 1.50x, 48% reach 2x, 19% reach 5x and under 10% reach 10x.
The maximum multiplier is high on paper, with 20,000x and 25,000x both quoted in listings, and the maximum payout per round is set by the operator and is the limit that actually binds. In Kenya that is typically a few hundred thousand shillings.
The extra point of house edge against Aviator is real and is paid every round. The jackpot gives some of it back, but as a lottery, which means most players never see any of it and one player occasionally sees a lot. Decide if that is a trade you like.
Elbet's distribution map is the reason for Rocketman's popularity, not the game design.
Rocketman vs Aviator vs JetX
| Rocketman | Aviator | JetX | |

| Jackpot | Progressive, random award | No | Progressive |
| Free bets | Chat drops | Rain promo | No |
| Provably fair panel | No | Yes, SHA-512 | No |
| Where it is common | Africa, Balkans | Everywhere | Bookmakers, crypto |
Our view: Rocketman is Aviator with a lottery attached and a point of RTP removed to pay for it. If your bookmaker has both, Aviator is the better bet per round and Rocketman is the one that might, very rarely, pay you something unconnected to your skill at pressing a button. JetX gets you a jackpot at 97%, which is the better version of the same deal if it is in your lobby.
There is no provably fair panel; Rocketman runs on Elbet's certified RNG, with the crash point fixed before the round starts. The "Rocketman predictor" apps that circulate in Kenya and Nigeria are random numbers, phishing or referral funnels, like every other crash predictor. We cover why in are crash games rigged?.

Frequently asked questions
What is Rocketman?
Rocketman is a multiplayer crash game by Elbet, a Serbian studio, released in May 2021. A rocket climbs as a multiplier rises from 1.00x, and you cash out before it explodes to win the stake times the multiplier. It has two bet panels, auto cash-out, a progressive jackpot and free bets dropped in chat, and it is most common at African and Balkan bookmakers.
What is the RTP of Rocketman?
96% at most operators, with some listings showing 96.5% or 97%. The game's information panel at the site you use is the number that applies. At 96% the house edge is 4%, a point more than Aviator. The jackpot is funded by a small contribution from each bet and does not change the base return.
How do the Rocketman jackpots work?
A slice of every bet feeds a progressive jackpot pool, shown on a ticker at the top of the game. The jackpot is awarded at random to a player with a live bet, so it is a lottery on top of the crash game. You cannot influence it except by having a bet in the round. The pool is operator-wide, not global, so it grows faster at busy bookmakers.
Where can I play Rocketman?
At bookmakers that take Elbet's games, which in practice means Mozzart Bet, Betway's African lobbies, Elephant Bet, several Serbian and Bosnian operators, and the 1xBet family. It is rare at licensed European casinos outside the Balkans. Demo mode is available inside the game at most operators.
Is Rocketman the same as Aviator?
Mechanically, close to it: two bets, auto cash-out, auto bet, live bets feed, a history strip. The differences are the 96% RTP against Aviator's 97%, the progressive jackpot, free bets handed out in chat, and the operator tournaments. The rocket is also noticeably more animated, with a planet, a flame and a cartoon explosion.
