Chicken Road game in India: the real one, the sequel, and the fakes

A hen crosses a road, each lane pays more, a car can end it at any step. That is Chicken Road by InOut Games, and it is the fastest-growing casino game in India. Here is the game, the demo, the rupee numbers, and a clear line between it and the Play Store clones.

Search "chicken road game" from India and the first page is a mess. Two Play Store apps that are not the game. A YouTube video promising hacks. A Softonic listing for something called "Chicken Win: Cash Farm". A "real or fake" video with seven million views. Somewhere near the bottom, one affiliate page that gets most things right and some things badly wrong.

So let us be clear from the first paragraph. Chicken Road is a casino game by InOut Games, a studio licensed in Curacao and Malta. It launched in April 2024. It runs inside online casinos, the same way Aviator does. It pays 98% back to players over time, which is the highest figure in the crash category. It has a sequel, Chicken Road 2, from the same studio. And none of the apps on Google Play with "Chicken Road" in the name are it.

Spend ten minutes here before you deposit anywhere. Set it to medium, bet the minimum, and count how many lanes you clear before the car shows up. Then switch to hardcore and watch how fast the hen dies. That contrast is the whole game, and the demo shows it for free.

A few things the facts table cannot say. Chicken Road has no timer. Aviator forces you to bet in a five-second window and the plane leaves when it leaves. Chicken Road waits for you. The hen does not move until you tap. That makes it the calmest crash game to play on a bad Jio connection, and also the one where you have no excuse for a panic decision.

The max win figure in the table is the hardcore top multiplier. The InOut data sheet lists the theoretical end of the hardcore road at over 2.5 million times the stake. No casino pays that. Every operator caps the payout, usually at a fixed rupee amount or a few thousand times the bet, and the cap is written in the game's info panel. Check it before you build a plan around lane 15.

How the Chicken Road game works

The screen is a road viewed from above. A hen sits at the kerb on the left. Across the road are lanes, between 15 and 24 of them depending on difficulty, and each lane has a multiplier printed on it. The multipliers rise as you go right.

You place a bet. You tap, the hen steps one lane. If it survives, your potential payout becomes stake times that lane's multiplier. Tap again, next lane. At some point a car arrives on the lane you just stepped into and the hen is hit. The bet is lost. Unless you pressed cash out before that step, in which case the payout at your last safe lane is yours.

The car's lane is decided before your first step, by a provably fair algorithm that hashes a server seed and your client seed. You can see the hash before you bet and check it afterwards. Your taps do not influence where the car is. What you control is how far you push.

Chicken Road screenshot: the hen on lane seven with the multiplier reading 2.11x on medium difficulty Medium difficulty, lane seven. This is the point where most people's nerve goes.

How to play Chicken Road step by step

  1. Pick a difficulty. Easy, medium, hard or hardcore. The choice fixes how many lanes there are and how steep the multipliers climb. Start on easy, whatever the YouTube video told you.
  2. Set your stake. Minimum is ₹10 at most Indian casinos. The field accepts any amount up to the brand's cap, typically ₹8,000 to ₹20,000.
  3. Press Play, then tap to step. Each tap moves the hen one lane. The multiplier on the panel updates to the lane you are standing on.
  4. Cash out whenever you want. The cash out button pays stake times current multiplier instantly. On easy you can cash out after a single lane at 1.03x if you like.
  5. Or step until the car comes. If the hen gets hit, the round ends and the stake is gone. Next round starts when you press Play again. There is no countdown.

Along the road you will sometimes see pickups: a bonus item on a lane that adds a small multiplier boost or a free step. They are part of the RTP, not extra value. They make the road feel generous without changing the long-run return.

Difficulty levels and multipliers

This is the table the Play Store clones cannot show you, because they do not have one.

Illustration of the four Chicken Road difficulty levels as four roads of different length

Difficulty Lanes First lane pays Roughly how far a typical run goes Top of the road
Easy 24 1.03x Most runs clear 10 to 18 lanes Around 19x to 24x, version dependent
Medium 22 1.12x Most runs clear 4 to 9 lanes Into the low thousands x
Hard 20 1.23x Most runs clear 2 to 5 lanes Tens of thousands x
Hardcore 15 1.63x Most runs clear 0 to 2 lanes Over 2.5 million x on paper; capped by every casino

Read the "first lane pays" column against the "how far" column. On easy, the first lane pays almost nothing because the car almost never arrives there. On hardcore, the first lane pays 63% because the car arrives there a lot. The game is pricing risk honestly. There is no difficulty where the hen is secretly safer than the multiplier suggests.

A rupee example makes the trade-off concrete. Say you bet ₹100 and want to walk away with ₹200.

  • On easy, you need to reach roughly lane 15 to 16. You will get there a little more often than one run in two, and you will have tapped sixteen times to do it.
  • On medium, 2x arrives around lane 6 to 7. Same rough odds of getting there, fewer taps, faster.
  • On hard, 2x is lane 3 to 4.
  • On hardcore, 2x is lane 2. One or two taps, and the car is waiting on lane one more often than feels fair.

Every route to ₹200 carries approximately the same chance of success, because the RTP is the same across all four. What changes is how long it takes and how it feels. Easy is a slow walk with a slightly better chance than a coin flip at the end; hardcore is a coin flip with the coin already in the air.

RTP 98%, risk, and what that means for your money

InOut publishes Chicken Road's RTP at 98%. The casino cannot change it, because the game runs on InOut's servers and the operator just embeds it. That is the same arrangement Spribe has for Aviator.

98% is genuinely good. Aviator is 97%. JetX is 97%. Most video slots in the same lobby are 94% to 96%. Over a very large number of rounds, a Chicken Road player loses about two rupees in every hundred staked, which is the best deal in the crash section of any Indian casino.

It is still a loss. People read "98%" and hear "I keep 98% of my money". What it means is that every round, on average, costs you 2% of what you bet, and you bet many rounds. A ₹2,000 session at ₹100 a step, cashing out at 2x on medium, might run 60 rounds. The expected cost is about ₹120. Some sessions you will walk out with ₹4,000. Some you will walk out with nothing. The ₹120 is the average of all of them.

Volatility is where the difficulty levels matter. Easy is low volatility: lots of small wins, few big swings, slow bleed. Hardcore is extreme volatility: you lose almost every round and occasionally hit a multiplier that pays for a month of losses. Pick based on how you want your sessions to feel, because the price is the same either way. The global Chicken Road page has the full probability breakdown if you want the maths.

Chicken Road vs Chicken Road 2 vs the Play Store fakes

This is the section the Indian search results need and do not have.

Side by side: the real Chicken Road game inside a casino lobby versus a Play Store earning app clone

Chicken Road (InOut Games, April 2024). The original. Hen, road, four difficulties, 98% RTP, provably fair, inside casinos. This is what the demo above runs.

Chicken Road 2 (InOut Games, 2025). The official sequel from the same studio. Same rules, same difficulty levels, same 98% RTP. What changed is the art, the pace of the hen's animation, a redesigned multiplier panel and more bonus pickups on the road. 1win, 1xBet, Mostbet and Melbet all carry both. If a site has "Chicken Road 2" in its crash section, it is the real sequel. If a page tells you Chicken Road 2 does not exist, or that it is a "slot with free spins", the page was written by someone who has not opened it.

"Chicken Roadrise", "Chicken: Fortune Road", "Chicken Cross - Play 2 Win", "Chicken Road 2" by unrelated developers on Google Play. These are the top results for "chicken road game" in India and none of them is the casino game. They are casual mobile games, made by developers with no connection to InOut, funded by rewarded video ads. Most have a "withdraw" or "cash out" screen that asks for a UPI ID and sets a target you never quite reach: ₹5,000 in coins, then the rate slows, then the app wants you to watch 50 more ads, then the withdrawal "fails". Nobody has been paid by one of these. The "real or fake" YouTube videos are about these apps, and the honest answer is: fake, but a different fake than people think. They are not scam versions of the casino game. They are unrelated ad farms wearing its name.

"Chicken Cross" at Rainbet, "Mission Uncrossable" at Roobet. Real casino games, similar idea, different studios. Mission Uncrossable (Roobet, 2024, RTP 99%) is the game Chicken Road is usually compared to and arguably predates it in concept. Chicken Cross is Rainbet's in-house version at 96%. Both are legitimate and both are crypto-casino originals, so less relevant for a UPI player. See Mission Uncrossable if you are curious.

The one-sentence test: if the game is inside a casino that asks you to deposit, it is probably the real thing. If an app promises you can earn money from Chicken Road without ever depositing, it is not Chicken Road.

Apps and APKs: what exists and what does not

Around 15,000 Indians a month search for a Chicken Road download or app. The short version: InOut Games does not publish an app. The game is HTML5 and runs in Chrome on any phone from the last six years. There is nothing to install.

What you can install is a casino app that includes the game. 1win, Mostbet, 1xBet, 4rabet and Melbet all offer Android APKs, downloaded from their own sites rather than Google Play because Google does not list real-money gambling apps in India. The APK is the casino, and Chicken Road is one of the games inside it. iOS users get a web app added to the home screen from Safari, which works identically.

The APKs floating around Telegram and third-party download sites with names like "Chicken Road 2 APK unlimited money" are either the Play Store clones repackaged or straightforward malware. Do not install an APK from a source that is not the casino's own domain. We cover the safe route, the PWA method, and what to check before sideloading on the Chicken Road app and APK page.

Strategy and predictors: the honest version

We have read the "Chicken Road hacks that really work" video. It does not contain a hack. It contains a difficulty choice, a stake size, and an affiliate link.

Here is what actually holds up:

  1. Decide your exit lane before you press Play. The biggest leak in Chicken Road is stepping "one more lane" because the last three were fine. The car's position was fixed before your first tap. Your last three lanes tell you nothing.
  2. Match difficulty to bankroll. With ₹1,000 and ₹50 stakes you have twenty rounds. On easy that is a long session. On hardcore it might be four minutes. Both lose 2% on average; one of them lets you enjoy the evening.
  3. Set a stop-loss and a take-profit. Everyone sets the first. Almost nobody acts on the second, and that is where the house edge gets paid.
  4. Ignore the recent results panel. Each round is independent. A run of early cars does not make the next road safer.

Predictors are a separate matter. The claim is that an app or Telegram channel can tell you which lane the car will appear on. It cannot. The result is derived from a server seed generated before the round and a client seed from your browser, combined and hashed with SHA-256. The hash is shown to you before you bet. Nothing can reverse it. Every "Chicken Road predictor" is a random number generator with a chicken on the icon, a phishing tool that wants your casino password, or an affiliate who wants you to sign up through their link. The full explanation is in our predictor guide.

India has no licence for Chicken Road or any real-money online game. The Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act 2025 bans real-money games offered from within India and puts the legal risk on operators, payment processors and advertisers. The casinos on this page are licensed abroad and continue to serve Indian players. Nothing in the Act criminalises the player, but nothing in it protects you either. If a site refuses to pay, there is no Indian regulator to complain to. We describe these sites for information only; play only if it is legal where you live.

Deposits are by UPI, and the flow is the same on every brand we list:

  1. Open the Deposit page and choose UPI. PhonePe, Google Pay and Paytm are usually listed as separate buttons; they all end in a UPI transfer.
  2. Enter the amount. ₹300 minimum at 1win and 4rabet, ₹500 at Mostbet and 1xBet. The site shows a UPI ID or a QR with a 10 to 15 minute window.
  3. Pay from your own UPI app. The recipient will be an individual or small business name, not the casino. That is how the payment partners operate in India now. Pay the exact amount.
  4. Paste the UTR if asked. Mostbet and 4rabet sometimes want the 12-digit reference. It is in your UPI app's transaction history.
  5. Wait two to ten minutes. Balance credits automatically. If it has not after half an hour, live chat with the UTR sorts it.

USDT on TRC-20 is the alternative if your bank has started questioning UPI transfers to unfamiliar accounts. It is faster and avoids the payment partner entirely, at the cost of exchange spreads.

Withdrawal methods and timings

Withdrawals go back the way they came in. You enter a UPI ID or bank account for IMPS, request an amount above the minimum (₹500 at 1win, ₹1,000 at Mostbet and 1xBet, similar elsewhere) and wait. Our India editor's log over the last few months:

Brand Method Typical time in our tests First-withdrawal KYC
1win UPI / IMPS 20 minutes to a few hours Aadhaar or PAN photo plus selfie
Mostbet UPI / IMPS Within a few hours, occasionally a day Same
4rabet UPI / IMPS Same day on weekdays, slower at weekends Same
1xBet UPI / IMPS / crypto A few hours to a day PAN or Aadhaar
Any brand USDT TRC-20 Usually under an hour Same

KYC on your first withdrawal is normal and not a scam signal on its own. A brand that keeps inventing new document requests after you have passed KYC once is a different matter, and we drop brands from the list when that happens.

Who Chicken Road suits, and who should skip it

It suits people who find Aviator's countdown stressful. There is no clock. You can put the phone down mid-round and pick it up later; the hen will still be standing there. It suits people who want the lowest house edge in the crash lobby. It suits anyone who likes the feeling of a decision per step rather than one cash-out moment.

It does not suit people who are chasing a big multiplier, because the honest route to one is hardcore mode and hardcore mode eats bankrolls faster than any game we cover. It does not suit anyone who cannot stop at "one more lane". And it is not for anyone who got here looking for an earning app, because that app does not exist, and the ones pretending to be it will waste your evening and your UPI ID.

If you want to compare it to the game that started all this, our Aviator India page covers the plane with the same level of detail. For the whole category in one place, start at crash games in India.

Chicken Road is fast, the auto-step function can run through a deposit in minutes, and the 98% RTP is a long-run average that says nothing about your next twenty rounds. Set a limit before you start. If it stops being fun, iCall (9152987821) and the Vandrevala Foundation (1860 2662 345) are free and confidential. 18+ only.

Frequently asked questions

What is the Chicken Road game?

Chicken Road is a step-based crash game by InOut Games, released in April 2024. A hen crosses a multi-lane road. Each lane it clears multiplies your stake, a car can hit it on any lane, and you cash out whenever you choose. It has four difficulty levels and a 98% RTP, the highest in the crash category. It runs inside online casinos, not as a standalone app.

Is the Chicken Road game real or fake?

The casino game is real: it is made by a licensed studio, runs at 1win, Mostbet, 1xBet and others, and pays real withdrawals, which we have tested via UPI. The Play Store apps with similar names (Chicken Roadrise, Chicken: Fortune Road, Chicken Cross) are not it. They are ad-funded casual games with withdrawal screens that never pay.

Can I earn real money from Chicken Road?

You can win real money at a casino that carries the real game, in the same way you can win at any casino game: with a 2% house edge working against you over time. You cannot earn money from the Play Store 'earning apps' that use the name. If an app promises income without a deposit, it is not Chicken Road and it will not pay.

What is the difference between Chicken Road and Chicken Road 2?

Chicken Road 2 is InOut Games' 2025 sequel. Same four difficulty levels, same 98% RTP, same cash-out-any-lane rule. The differences are cosmetic and pacing: new art, a slightly faster hen, extra bonus pickups on the road and a redesigned multiplier display. Most casinos carry both. Play whichever you prefer; the maths is the same.

Is there a Chicken Road demo?

Yes. InOut Games hosts an official demo, which is embedded on this page, and every casino that carries the game has a demo toggle inside it. The demo uses play money and shows the full multiplier ladder for each difficulty. The only thing it hides is how it feels to lose real rupees on lane 19.

Is Chicken Road legal in India?

There is no Indian licence for it. The Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act 2025 bans real-money games offered from within India and targets operators and payment processors, not players. The casinos that carry Chicken Road are offshore and keep accepting Indian players. Play only if it is legal where you live.

How do I download the Chicken Road app?

There is no official Chicken Road app from InOut Games on Google Play or the App Store. You play it in a phone browser or inside a casino's app (1win, Mostbet and 1xBet all have Android APKs from their own sites). Anything on Google Play called Chicken Road is a different game. We cover the safe options on our app and APK page.

What is the RTP of Chicken Road?

98%, published by InOut Games and the same at every casino because the studio serves the game. That means a 2% house edge, which is lower than Aviator (3%) and most slots (4% to 8%). It still means the game wins over time. A higher RTP changes how slowly you lose, not whether you lose.

Do Chicken Road predictors or hacks work?

No. The lane on which the car appears is set by a provably fair algorithm using hashed seeds fixed before you place the bet. Nothing can read it in advance. Predictor apps and Telegram 'signal' channels are random number generators, phishing tools or affiliate funnels. The YouTube 'hacks that really work' videos are usually selling one of those three.

What is the minimum bet for Chicken Road in India?

₹10 at most casinos, ₹20 at a few. Maximum bets range from ₹8,000 to ₹20,000 depending on the brand. Deposit minimums are the more relevant number: ₹300 by UPI at 1win and 4rabet, ₹500 at Mostbet and 1xBet. Withdrawal minimums are usually ₹500 to ₹1,000.
