Mines game in India: the real Spribe version, the demo, and the Yono clones
A five-by-five grid, a number of hidden mines you choose, and a cash-out button. Mines is Minesweeper with money on it, and it is the fourth most-searched crash-lobby game in India. Here is the game, the maths and the apps to avoid.
Mines is the game you reach for when Aviator feels too fast. There is no countdown, no plane, no other players. A grid of 25 tiles, some of them hiding mines, and a decision after every click: one more tile, or take the money. It is Minesweeper with a cash-out button, and it has quietly become the fourth most-searched game in India's crash lobbies at around 16,000 searches a month.
The Indian search results are the usual mix: a Softonic APK that is a puzzle game, a Play Store listing that is a different puzzle game, and a handful of thin affiliate pages. There is also "Yono Mines", an app that borrows a bank's name and deserves its own section. First, the real thing.
Play the Mines demo
Set three mines and reveal tiles until you hit one. Note how many you cleared. Then set ten mines and try again. The first setting lets you reach five or six tiles most rounds; the second rarely lets you past the second. The multipliers you see on the cash-out button are the game pricing that difference exactly.
What Mines is
Spribe released Mines in 2019, the same year as Aviator and Plinko, as part of the mini-game range that now sits in every crash section. Hacksaw Gaming, Turbo Games and Stake have their own versions with the same rules and different RTPs. When Indian players say "mines game" they usually mean Spribe's, because that is what 1win and 1xBet put at the front of the lobby.
The rules fit in a paragraph. There are 25 tiles. Before the round you choose how many are mines, from 1 to 24. You place a bet and start clicking. A safe tile shows a gem and raises the multiplier on the cash-out button. A mine shows an explosion and ends the round with your stake gone. You can press cash out after any safe tile and take stake times multiplier. Clearing every safe tile cashes out automatically.
The mine positions are set before your first click by a provably fair algorithm using a hashed server seed and your client seed. Your clicks do not move them. There is no pattern in where they were last round.
How to play Mines step by step
- Choose the number of mines. The slider or dropdown runs from 1 to 24. This is the only strategic choice in the game, and it sets the whole multiplier ladder.
- Set your stake. ₹10 minimum at most Indian casinos, up to the brand's cap.
- Press Bet and click a tile. Any tile. Position does not matter; the mines were placed randomly and your first click is as safe as any other.
- Keep clicking or cash out. Each gem raises the multiplier shown on the button. Press it whenever you want the money.
- Or hit a mine. The grid reveals every mine, the stake is gone, and the next round starts when you press Bet again.
Auto play exists on most versions: you pick a fixed set of tiles and a stake, and the game runs rounds for you, cashing out if all chosen tiles are safe. It is convenient and it is also the fastest way to turn ₹2,000 into nothing while looking at your phone, so use the stop-loss field.
Three mines, four gems found. The next click has a 3 in 21 chance of ending the round.
Multipliers by mine count
The multiplier after each safe tile is the inverse of the probability of getting there, discounted by the house edge. With one mine, the first click has a 24 in 25 chance of being safe, so it pays a hair over 1.04x minus 3%. With ten mines it is 15 in 25, so about 1.62x. The table shows Spribe's ladder, rounded.
| Mines | After 1 tile | After 3 tiles | After 5 tiles | After 10 tiles | Clearing the board |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 1.01x | 1.13x | 1.26x | 1.73x | 24.25x (24 tiles) |
| 3 | 1.10x | 1.46x | 1.98x | 5.45x | around 2,200x (22 tiles) |
| 5 | 1.21x | 1.93x | 3.16x | 18.3x | tens of thousands x (20 tiles) |
| 10 | 1.62x | 4.19x | 11.6x | 455x | enormous, and capped (15 tiles) |
| 24 | 24.25x | n/a | n/a | n/a | one tile wins everything |

Every cell in that table is priced at the same 97%. There is no mine count that is secretly generous. A rupee example makes the trade-off concrete. You bet ₹100 and want to leave with ₹200.
- At one mine you need to clear about 13 tiles. Thirteen clicks, each a little riskier than the last, with a roughly 48% chance of making it.
- At three mines, 2x arrives at the fifth tile. Five clicks, same rough odds.
- At ten mines, 2x arrives on the second tile. Two clicks, same odds.
- At 24 mines, one click pays 24x or nothing, with a 4% chance of the 24x.
The route is yours. The price is not. The global Mines page has the full probability maths if you want to see how the ladder is built.
RTP by studio
| Version | RTP | Grid | Where Indians find it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Spribe Mines | 97% | 5x5, 1-24 mines | 1win, 1xBet, 4rabet, Melbet |
| Stake Mines (original) | 99% | 5x5, 1-24 mines | Stake only, crypto |
| Hacksaw Mines | about 96% to 98% | 5x5 | 1xBet, Tower.bet, crypto casinos |
| Turbo Games Mines | 95% | 5x5 | 1xBet, Melbet; the one in casino.guru's demo |
That bottom row matters. The most-visited "mines game" result in India demos the Turbo Games version at 95%, two points worse than Spribe's and four worse than Stake's. At the same casino, picking the wrong tile of the lobby costs you more than any decision inside the game. Check the studio name under the thumbnail.
Where to play Mines in India
These brands carry at least one real Mines, take UPI, and have paid our India editor. The order is our preference and reflects how easy it is to find the Spribe version in the lobby.

11win
Spribe Mines under Fast Games; also the Hacksaw and Turbo versions, so check the studio name.

41xBet
Mines page with its own URL plus half a dozen other Mines-style titles; the Spribe one is labelled.
At 1win it is under Casino, then Fast Games, pinned near Aviator. At 1xBet the direct URL is easiest, or type "mines" into the lobby search and pick the Spribe-labelled one from the five or six results. Deposits are by UPI at ₹300 to ₹500 minimum; withdrawals go back to UPI or IMPS with KYC on the first one. The full step-by-step with UTR notes is on the crash games in India hub.
Yono Mines and the other "earning" apps
Search "mines game" from India and the autocomplete offers "yono mines game", about 2,000 searches a month. Here is what it is.
YONO is SBI's banking app, and it has nothing to do with gambling. "Yono Mines", "Yono Rummy", "Yono Games" and the rest are a family of apps and sites that borrow the name to look trustworthy, promoted through Telegram and YouTube with referral codes. The Mines game inside them looks like Spribe's. The structure around it is different: deposits by UPI to a personal account, a referral bonus for every friend you bring, a withdrawal process that works for small amounts at first and then develops "verification" problems once the balance is worth having. The apps are not on Google Play. They are APKs from a Telegram link, which is also where their malware risk comes from.
This is not the same category as the Chicken Road and Plinko clones on the Play Store, which are ad farms that never involve your money. The Yono family takes deposits. That makes it worse. We do not list it, we would not deposit at it, and if you already have, withdraw what it lets you and stop.
The test is the same one we use for every game on this site. The real Mines is made by a named studio, runs inside a casino with a licence from somewhere, and that casino has paid us. If a game arrives by Telegram APK with a referral code, it fails all three.
Predictors and "Mines hacks"
Mines attracts predictor sellers because the grid looks like something a clever person could read. It is not. The mine positions come from a server seed generated before the round, hashed and shown to you, combined with a client seed you can set yourself. Nothing can derive the positions from the hash. The "Mines predictor" bots on Telegram that tell you which tiles are safe are choosing tiles at random, which is exactly as good as you choosing them. The "Mines hack" APKs want your casino login or your phone. We explain the whole industry in the predictor guide.
What does hold up: pick your mine count and your exit tile before you press Bet, and stop at the exit tile. The leak in Mines is "one more gem", and the round's mines were placed before you found the first one.
Legal position in India
India has no licence for Mines or any real-money online game. The Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act 2025 bans real-money games offered from within India and puts the liability on operators, payment processors and advertisers. The casinos above are licensed abroad and continue to serve Indian players; the Act does not criminalise the player and does not protect them. Play only if it is legal where you live.
If you like the structure of Mines and want it with more movement, Chicken Road is the same decision-per-step idea on a road with a 98% RTP. If you want the pure drop with no decisions, Plinko is next door in every lobby.
Mines rounds take seconds and auto play takes less. Set a limit before you start. iCall (9152987821) and the Vandrevala Foundation (1860 2662 345) are free and confidential if it stops being fun. 18+ only.
Frequently asked questions
What is the Mines game?
Mines is a casino game by Spribe, released in 2019. A 5x5 grid hides between 1 and 24 mines; you choose how many. You reveal tiles one at a time. Each safe tile raises your multiplier, a mine ends the round and loses the stake, and you can cash out after any safe tile. RTP is 97% and it is provably fair.
Is the Yono Mines game real?
Yono Mines is not Spribe's game and has no connection to SBI's YONO banking app whose name it borrows. It is one of a family of apps and Telegram-promoted sites that use the Mines format with a referral scheme and a withdrawal process that stalls. We do not list it and would not deposit at it. The real Mines runs inside licensed casinos.
Is there a Mines demo?
Yes. The demo on this page is Spribe's official one with play money, and every casino that carries Mines has a demo toggle inside the game. Use it to see how the multiplier curve changes between 1 mine and 10 mines before you put rupees on it.
What is the RTP of Mines?
97% for Spribe's version at every mine count; the multipliers are set so the house keeps 3% whatever you choose. Other studios differ: Stake's Mines original is 99%, Hacksaw's around 96% to 98%, Turbo Games' 95%. Check the studio name under the thumbnail before you play, because the gap is real.
How many mines should I choose?
There is no better choice in expected return; every setting pays 97% over time. Fewer mines means many small wins and long sessions. More mines means most rounds end on the first or second tile and the rare survivor pays enormously. One to three mines suits a small bankroll; anything above ten is a lottery ticket.
Is Mines legal in India?
There is no Indian licence for it. The Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act 2025 bans real-money games offered from within India and targets operators and payment processors, not players. The casinos that carry Mines are offshore and keep accepting Indian players. Play only if it is legal where you live.
Do Mines predictors or hacks work?
No. Mine positions are set by a provably fair algorithm from hashed seeds fixed before your first click. Nothing can read them in advance. Every Mines predictor, signal channel or hack is a random number generator, a phishing tool or an affiliate funnel. The 'Mines hack' APKs are also a common malware wrapper.
What is the minimum bet for Mines in India?
₹10 at most casinos that carry the Spribe version. Maximums run from ₹8,000 to ₹20,000 per round depending on the brand. The more relevant numbers are deposit minimums, ₹300 to ₹500 by UPI, and withdrawal minimums, ₹500 to ₹1,000.
